Kole Yellow Eye Tangs

They can be hit or miss. All Tangs are aggressive towards each other if they are not put in together. They are the majority peaceful but I have read and hear of them being jerks if they are the dominant fish in the tank.
 
The foxface is a rabbit fish not a tang, they should be fine together. I have the same two fish in my 100 gallon. What size is your tank?

In a 55 gallon, just about any tang will be aggressive to other tangs.

In a 550 gallon, different story.
 
My experience is my Kole and foxface lo do not bother each other. They have been together for about 2 years. Once the Kole got to be about 4 inches I had to rehome a sailfin blenny. One day the Kole just was on him horribly, if I had not removed the blenny I believe he would have died pretty quick. Just my 2 cents worth.

Your foxface is a rabbit fish not a tang and has venomous dorsal spines just so you know. They also get really big really fast!! No fun cleaning a smaller tank with a big rabbit in it...lol
 
Those two fish in a 110 gallon tank....no problem
Me...I still would'nt put a rabbit fish in there...but I've been stuck by them before,and I'm highly allergic to most of the things in my tank...
 
allergic? Yikes. That's too bad. I haven't been stuck yet. I have to say though, Mr. Fox is my 2nd favorite fish in my tank! (starry blenny being the first)

And that can make buying more than one at a time a real game of Russian Roulette - if I just offended anyone I am truly sorry :angryfire:,

I got a PBT and a Kole two weeks ago. After the first day the Kole was cowering in a corner. A week into I noticed bite marks on his (maybe her) tail and the PBT is now owned by my LFS. They (LFS) very cooperative and gave me a gerous credti for a fish I did not buy from them, and I did tell them.

Tough to QT 2 together in a 30 gallon tank. The Kole still seems stressed out - 3 days later.
 
I have a yellow eye kole tang in my 90 with a yellow tang(no tang police please) I added the kole around 3 months after my yellow tang. at first the only aggression was from the flame angel to the kole tang that lasted about 2 hours before the angel quickly stopped caring. and then on the 3rd day I noticed the first aggression from the yellow tang to the kole tang. the aggression consisted of the yellow tang swimming backwards and flapping his back fin at the kole tang who seemed to completely disregard all efforts the yellow tang made and continued to pick at rocks and such. the yellow tang only did this behavior that day and has never shown any aggression since in fact I have absolutely no aggression in my tank at this time.
