I just put a Koralia 240 in my 5g this morning. Do you run it 24/7 or run it on the light schedule? My lights are on for 12 hours. I have frogspawn, birds nest, candy cane, digi, monti, colt, star polyp and zoas.

If you were to turn it off, what else would be providing water movement? HOB filter or something?

Yes, the filter that came with the Marineland 5g does give some flow but not like the Koralia. The coral were doing great without the Koralia but most seem happy with the new flow. Clowns like it too. Do you suggest leaving it on 24/7?

Is that the Koralia nano? In my 6 gallon Edge I have that pump runnig 24/7 along with my aqua clear. I just turn them off when I am feeding. Its taken a lot of tries to figure out where to put the rocks and corals so some things don't get blown around too much.

If you happy coral when the pump is on, just keep it on. They won't care too much, IMO, if it's left on during the night.

Yes it's the Nano. Everything stays stationary when its on. Frogspawn seem happier now with it off. I am going to try 9 hours on with 12 hours of light. What do you guys think?

Either way is good. On my nano I had the 240 also. And ran it on the light schedule. So it was like the ocean calming at night. Corals really liked it. But if the corals continue to do good you can leave it on 24/7
