Koralia modificiations...

I did a search and didn't find any info, apologies in advance if this has been answered:

Any clever person out there figured out a way to mount the Koralia on the back wall but have it pointed perpendicular to the wall? I don't like them mounted on the sides because I have 3 side viewing, and would prefer them on the back wall, but would like the flow to go lengthwise.

72 gal bow, 48" long

Thanks for any help.

I seem to remember somebody cutting or drilling out a small notch in the inside suction cup mount where the rod connects the pump so it could be pointed completly sideways.

Haven't needed to try it myself though...

I tried it, thanks to one clever person on the Orlando Reef Caretaker Association website. He has a step by step instructions. It's under: Forums, Do it yourself, Fix the stupid Koralia Magnetic mound. Short version: You have to take off the magnet, the suction cup mount, the little swivel thing and the Koralia. Cut the plastic with a dremel. Make sure you, don't make the hole too big or later on the Koralia will not stay put. Talking from experience:( Have a new aquarium now and I want to put the Koralia on the overflow. Do you guy's think the Koralia can stay put on the overflow with the suction cup alone? Could I put the magnet with the rubber thing around it inside the overflow or would the magnet mess up the water?

Thanks a lot for the info. Here's the result, worked great!

clownaround--I've had mine (x 2) on overflow for a couple years...suction cup alone is not enough...powerhead will slowly walk...I use the magnet on the inside of overflow...it is covered so I'm not seeing an issue with metal contamination, if that is what you are asking...
