A discussion of these powerheads started in another thread so I thought I'd start a thread for comparing.
Taam Seio

Koralia
https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4586+15955&pcatid=15955
Compare two models based on their information:
Koralia 2, 600gph, 9 watts, 2 7/8" x 5 7/8", $28
Taam Seio P530 530 gph, 7.5 watts, 3.2" x 1.9" x 2.3", $30
I have both. I bought the Seio to replace a broken Koralia. Maybe because the cage on the Koralia broke so easily I think the Seio is made of stronger plastic. They both seem to do the job intended, that is produce good circulation without high velocity direct flow.
I also like the look of the Seio, it is smaller and less obtrusive in the tank. Considering they both come with the magnet mounts included the price is not bad. They also use less energy than something like a maxijet.
If I were to buy another I would most likely get another Seio.
Anyone else have experience with both and want to comment?
Dave
