Korallin 1502 Ca Reactor

Someone is going to give me one of these to use. I have never set one up before, and I have heard that the 1502 is hard to get tuned.

Are there any tips or tricks to getting them to run right?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

There is a very large thread on the Korallin calcium reactor. I had one previous to my GEO and they can be a little tricky to get set, but once they do get set then they are good at staying consistent.

The 1502 isn't any more difficult to get set than any other reactor.

All reactors have two variables: the CO2 you're adding and your effluent flow rate. There's not really anything else you can set with any reactor.

The trick is controlling them consistently and then matching what your reef requires.

There are a bunch of articles and threads about that including a neat calculator.
