Korallin CA reactor problem

I am siphoning water from the tank to the reactor. I am using an electronic co2 regulator set at 8 seconds between bubbles and the pressure is about 8 PSI for the bubbles and 600 PSI in the co2 tank.

I continue to lose the siphon and get co2 going back up the siphon line into the tank. This occurs within 24 hours of reestablishing the siphon and bleeding the co2 from the reactor.

The drip rates are about 1 drop per second from outlet 1 and 1 per 10 seconds from outlet 2.

Why is this happening and what to do?

Thanks in advance for your help.

PS Everything was working fine until I changed the media a week ago.

Siphoning water through a reactor is a joke at best. Some have had luck with it but IMO the manufactures that instruct you to do so are just full of it.

Get a feed pump on your reactor. If you want the best look at a controllable peristaltic pump like a Cole-Parmer. A maxijet will also work and some have had success with tapping off your return line.

Your already half way to having the easiest to dial in reactor with the ap regulator. I would finish it up with a cole-parmer pump. Its pricey but... worth every penny. You adjust the flow through the reactor with a knob. It will never vary regardless of the amount of media in the system. No needle valves to deal with. If you need help picking a pump I can try to find you a good deal on ebay...
