Koran angel??

So my gf has fallen in love with a Koran angel, what are the best dimensions for one? I was looking to do a 180 but seeing that its to small for one, so know I'm wondering what's best.

Also, remind your girlfriend that the adult version looks drastically different from the juvenile...they are much less attractive full grown--IMO.

I saw the gallons I was wondering do I need 6ft x 3ft or 8ft x ??? Etc

Yea I showed her the difference and she still liked the adult version

I raised a couple of them in a 6x2x30". They are hardy fish and very easy to raise and grow out.

I kept them with other angels and lots of tangs.

An 8' long or longer would be a good home for that fish. They can grow to over a foot in length, give it some swimming room.

I do agree with rpritch and I don't think they are nice looking adult angels

I agree with y'all that they aren't overly pretty but she says she likes em so I get to set up a bigger tank, why would I argue with that lol

Lucky you, I wish that was my wife's thought. Too bad her favourite fish is a kole tang and a Helfrichi firefish.
Before you go with the Koran but after you have set up a larger tank, why don't you show her all the different large angels, maybe you can convince her to get a emperor or queen instead

Go with 8' x 30" wide.
If you want a compromise show her the blueline angel which stays smaller and can probably be kept in a 6'x24" tank.
I really like Korans and will probably add one to my tank, but to each his own.

Go 8ft and as big as you feel comfortable with personally, as well as your wallet. Trust me I just setup a 220g 4 months ago and I'm already looking for a 750g

SD that one is very pretty.

I've also read they aren't really coral safe. I'm playing on have a anemone dominant tank. Will they mess with nems?

I think they are underrated. But you will need a big tank. If you can swing an 8ft tank do it, but go as big as possible. Having a fish over a foot long in a six foot tank just makes the tank look small.

I also love the adult colors of them ..I have a sub adult about 6 inches in my 265 ..Can't wait for the full change
