i was thinking of putting a smaller return pump in my sump and adding 2 korlia pumps like 3 or 4's? would the 4's be too much flow for a 200 gallon tank 6' long 30" high or should i get two 3's.
Well, I have 2-Koralia 4's going in a 65G and I was under the impression that that would be about right to have SPS corals....I am going to have softies as well, but going to place them at the bottom more out of the flow of water....is this a logical thought on this....I dont want to keep myself restricted to just sps, just lps or just softies....want a nice diversity.
Moosetache, I went for the same thing, a wide diversity of corals in one of my 75g's, with a koralia #3, and #2 running in their, I do have alot of trouble finding low enough flow spots for certain lps and many softies. Possible to do like your asking, but you'll have to condier placment and flow direction carefully to make it work. Well worth the time and effort though IMO.
Hey Gummi....just wondering what you were keeping in your tank....I am hoping for a variety and just wondering what other people are doing in similar tanks...I have the same setup as you do, tank and sump....what are you doing light wise?
I have 4 pumps on my 220 mixed and the flow is just right. Only issue is that they wont work on a wavemaker like Readsea. They are great pumps for the money
