I saw this at Tangstank's tank. Gives a cleaner look and I think it turned out pretty good. The pillar in the middle could use some work(the round piece three down) what do you think? I would like opinions, so please let me know. I'm not the best aquascaper.

I like it. I see what you mean with the round piece, but at the same time. I like the way it looks there, gives some contrast having a wider part on top and bottom. my only thing is are they somehow secured that way? I wouldnt want your powerheads to sway the top part on the round one and knock everything over.

Kris, it's a Good start, I would have stopped there, but Joe (he aquascaped my system) went completely wild style. Now, I'd try to stack very uncommon , irregular pieces together. Don't worry if it makes sense on the shape. Try to give it more of a wild look.

I thought I did go wild!

Thanks for the comments guys. The build is coming along well. Going to scrub and run everything through vinegar tomorrow. Monday my rebuilt pump should be delivered, then the plumbing starts. Woo hoo!

I have a question. I have a reeflo Dart return pump now, will my bulkhead accommodate it? The hole through my sump is 1-3/4" and the bulk head matches. Will this work?

Are you using a hose or are using p.v.c.? Because if it's not a perfect fit you can always get p.v.c. reducers to shrink down the larger side. By the way your build is looking great I like the rock work middle pillar looks good I wouldn't change it. J.M.O.

It is PVC, but I wanted to make sure my bulkhead would allow enough water through to feed this pump.
I'm loving the rock the more I look at it. It is staying, just need to make some places foe some fish to hide/sleep.

DT tank is cycled, but still working on finishing up the sump, refugium, skimmer and reactors so I'm going to still hold off on adding livestock. Getting a lot done. I love that I'm taking my time and setting this up right the first time. Pictures to come soon.
