This is my first saltwater tank. I added water to tank on 12/14/11.
Current setup:
cadlight 8g nano
Lighting: DIY led
Skimmer: AquaC remora w/ MJ 1200
Back 2 chamber converted to refugium for chaeto, Temporarily added chemi pure elite i had laying around but not planning on using any carbon and gfo after this.
Switch out their pump and replace it with Hydor Pico Evolution Mini 400 (100gph)
Stocking: red scooter blenny and scooter blenny(might return this scooter blenny) and a lot of snails. I had a fancy vivid ocellaris clownfish for 3 months before he jump out the tiniest hole since the tank was cover. i must have spook him when i preparing food for the red scooter blenny before light came on.
Coral: LPS and SPS
Water parameter:
Mix of kent and IO, in tap water
dKH: 8.3 (red sea foundation test kit for alkalinity, Mg, and Ca)
Ca: 550
Mg : 1500
PO4: 0.15 (Hanna Checker)
Nitrate:10-20 ( API )
I started carbon dosing, 3/15/12 to lower nitrate and phosphate
1/11/2012 added my first set of corals bought locally, this is before hardware update. Lost the pulsing xenia and the purple sponge.
3/04/2012 added my LED and skimmer
3/15/2012, added 6 acan lord from cultivatedreef and rest from mr.coral( lol took my chance, only 2 came in partially bleach but i did get 6 sps for free so no complaint from me)
