KY Nano Reef. First timer.

hey everybody. been trolling this forum for a while and decided its about time to actually make an intro thread. Ill go ahead and start from the beginning. Ive had fresh water tanks pretty much my whole life but have always been interested in salt water. My friend (thisseemsfishy) has had his tank going for a little while and educated me on most of the things I needed to know to get her up and running. So we started with a 20gallon long, his water change water, a 48" t5 from my 75 gallon, a few pieces of dry rock and some new crushed coral for the bottom, and a little scoop of his bottom to start things up. We ran a 20 hr light cycle for about 2 weeks and then kicked it back to 8hrs. I think thats when i ordered my PC fixture(2 x 55watt bulbs). So at that point we put some kenya tree and Pulsing Xenia in to see how the water was, everything was good so we continued to do weekly water changes with his old water using fresh about once a month. Im getting a little tired with the boring stuff so yada yada yada. then I added a canister (cotton and carbon). And just last week I changed the fixture again to a oddysea MH fixture with one 150watt 15,000k hqi bulb and 2 t5ho blue plus bulbs...ill post a picture and a vidya here shortly. so far theres an open brain, favia brain, blue tipped gonipora, orange montipora digita, mint chocolate chip palys, few random types or zoas, few patches of gsp, random RIC, purple mushroom, kenya trees, xenia(pink and blue), rainbow lobo, and a scooter blenny

Mayfield!! probab;y never heard of it, close to paducah. any who i got a few more pictures. all were taken with the cell phone. sorry for the bad quality. some of the stuff was a little mad at me. Did a filter change today on the canister along with a carbon change to the flow was pretty much dead for an hour. on to the show:

Of course, I know where Mayfield is. I grew up in Calvert City and was a Marshal...you know a student from Marshall County High School. Go big Orange We were in the same sports district as Mayfield who were the Cardinals, right? However, if you went to Graves County instead of Mayfield High you would have been the Eagles. My mom and step-dad now live in Lexington but my dad still lives in Paducah so I get back to the area, at least, once a year for the annual family camping trip to Kentucky Lake.
