KZ Fiji Purple T5 Bulbs

Does anyone local carry these? I know Critter is carrying Geissman bulbs & Ill prob pick my replacments up from them but Im needing 8 t5 replacment bulbs & I def want 2 of the bulbs to be the KZ Fiji Purple. If I end up having to order these online Ill just do my entire order online & save some cash.

I looked at all store and had to order online. Got them from aqua cave and was here in 2 days.

Just a tip you only need one unless your running then side by side for the lenght of the tank. JMHO

Thats what Im planning on doing... Im running 3x250 DE Phoenix 14ks
As far as T5,s heres my thoughts
These would be side by side length of
2 ATI Blue +
2 KZ Fiji Purple
2 Ati True actinic
2 ATI Blue plus

The 2 bulbs in bold Im totally unsure
about & may do ATI blue plus in that
spot. Im just curious how it would look.

If It were me I would ditch the true Actinic and go with 2 Actinic + and all the rest you have listed are great IMHO

Fiji Purple is really a waste of money if you ask me. They don't really do anything.

Bill thanks for chiming back in. Your suggestion was what I was actually thinking but all the names are so close I typed the wrong 1.

How bad do you think it would change the look if it was to swap the actinic totally with either a 10 or 6500 k for growth? I almost think it would completly overpower the actinics & would wash them out.

Thoughts?

The 6500 is going to be VERY yellow. I would use one in anything less than an 8 bulb T5.

FWIW the Fiji Purple puts out as much PAR as and Aquablue, if not a little more.

Yeah I would go with what you have listed.
Figi Purple brings out the Reds,Oranges,Pinks and make them Pop just a little more than without but that Is JMHO and I could be wrong but Everybody Can't be wrong as most people use the FP....

Ive got 2 fp's on mine and my purple cap, pink birdsnest look really cool! I was at the AC today, they dont have much of any geissman on hand, most all that was out were coralife and aquatic life lamps

I think i meant to say pink not purple lol. I have a Figi purple. I took them out because my 14k bulbs look like 20k

same mother coral the top one came out of a nano with 50/50 pc light, the biggeer one been under the t5s the whole time...look at the color difference!

Sean, your tank looks nice. You can def tell a diff in the 2 caps. I like your color combos as far as your T5s go. It's got a nice sheen & clear look & it's not overpowered with the toilet bowl actinic look. My Birthday is tomorrow so hopefully I'll come across some hide from momma money to fund the bulb purchase.

Nice bulbs there Sean, lol. I will always have a fiji purple bulb on my tank love the pop it sets off in some of the colors. Tank does look good by the way Sean.
