I have a 90 gallon reef tank cycling right now. I bought a friends old tank that moved on to a 210 gallon reef. I bought his whole set up which I figure is cheaper than going brand new and spending a ridiculous amount of money. There are a couple of things I would like to upgrade on, however. It's impossible it seems to find 125 watt compacts anywhere. So, first off, if anyone knows where to get 125 watt compacts that are straight pin double lamps..lemme know. I might not need to ask the second question. The second question is: HAHA! I am going to ask anyways. I have thought about getting the led lights in place of compacts. They're smaller and I'd have more room in the fixture. (It's a home made fixure). Do they offer the same amount of light? I know that they are much more efficient as far as energy to cost than compacts which is the reason why I ask the question before I try them. For as many of them as I would need. It would cost the same as compacts.
