I have some sheets of something, I dont know if it's what you're looking for, because I dont exactly know what acrylic is.

I'm pretty sure I got it from Home depot. There are 3 sheets of it. they have blue wrap on them. Now you know as much as I do. :)

that would be acrylic not sure how thick but it should work what are the dimensions and what would like for them

11 3/4 x 12 7/8 1/4 in thick
have anything to trade? small head of LPS or a polyp or two of something pretty?

Have you considered having some glass cut? I did my baffles out of 3/16" with one polished edge. Cost $8 per piece. My sump used to have acrylic and the panels blew out when we were taking water out after I bought it - glass seems like the way to go.

jfl, if you go with acrylic make sure you cut them a little short/small and secure with silicone. Acrylic expands in water and is very capable of breaking the glass walls of the tank. If you aren't able to find acrylic I have some left over. 1/4, 3/8, 1/2

I had thought about glass as I have heard that silicone really doesn't adhere to acrylic where it does to glass so it would seem that you would get a stronger bond from glass but I wasn't aware that they could polish one edge so you wouldn't get cut that was one of my concerns

most glass places will polish for a couple bucks. I added a baffle which was not polished - put some metal sand emery cloth on a sanding block and rounded the edge off myself. Only takes a couple minutes.
