LA shipping....scared to open the bag

I just got my two new fish in from LA today, and they are floating right now. I got a royal gramma and an orange-back fairy wrasse off of DD. The bag that the orange-back fairy wrasse came in is HUGE!! It's much bigger than the bags that my Lyretails from DD came in, and they are already the size of a fullgrown orange-back.

I'm scared that they mixed up my order and when I cut open the bag there will be a tang in there or something. Could the bag just be bigger because wrasses need more space and don't ship well?

DD ships wrasses in larger bags as they ship better than in smaller bags. I highly doubt it is the wrong fish, they just like to ensure that the fish ship well.

Yea, I figured they probably wouldn't have messed it up. It was indeed the orange-back in the bag. It's nice to know that they take that into account for shipping wrasses. :) There must've been close to a gallon or more of water in there!

This is from a couple of weeks ago --- a total of 2 dwarf angels. That is a 5 gallon salt bucket.

I just ordered from them aswell, and compared to other places ive ordered from, they clearly go above and beyond... Im happy!

hey todd! nice to see ya!!

i'm always amazed at how LA packs fish. indeed, they go above and beyond and that's why their fish almost always arrive in tip top shape. the yellow coris wrasse i got from them recently was rarin' to go as soon as i dumped him into my qt. same with the wrasses and my kole tang. not a single one of them hid for more than maybe 10 seconds. :)

Bigger bags = more oxygen so they might put them in bigger bags depending on how far you live from where the fish were shipped.
