Labouti Wrasse Compatiable With?

I have a labouti wrasse in a 75 gal. DT and would like to get one more wrasse to put in the DT. I would like to get the red velvet wrasse (cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis) or the mystery wrasse. Which of the 2 would be the better choice? I really prefer the red velvet, but I got a feeling the labouti might not like it. Anybody with expierence with the labouti wrasse and what wrasse goes good with it?

I'm afraid to say neither of those are good choice alongside a labouti in a 75g tank. The mystery is most definitely out, as Pseudocheilinus wrasses almost always do NOT play well with any other wrasses. Also unfortunate is that the Red Velvet is one of the more aggressive fairys, and often does not tolerate other fairys well. Couple that with the fact labouti's can be a bit more on the aggressive side as well once established and add in the tank size, I feel that will be a recipe for disaster. Sorry.

That what I kind of figured. Just looking for another fish to put in my 75 with my swallowtail angel, magnificient foxface and labouti wrasse. I would like to put another angel in (dwarf type) but sound like the same situation.

+1...another angel could be possible short term, but it will outgrow the tank

I personally have never had aggression issues with my labouti pair. I have a barrage of wrasses and angels. With that said, they are also housed in a 300 so I'm sure that helps but I haven't found them to be overly aggressive as all.

My wrasses:
Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis
Halichoeres melasmapomus/xanti
Halichoeres melanurus
Cirrhilabrus laboutei
Halichoeres iridis
Anampses chrysocephalus
Anampses meleagrides
Macropharyngodon bipartitus
Halichoeres ornatissumus
Macropharyngodon geoffroyi

I had a Labouti in with ~30 wrasses in my 450g DT... got too aggressive, with some of the new wrasses and had to remove him.

Thanks for the info. I am going to get a coral beauty and a flame angel at the same time and QT them together then put them in my DT at the same time. If things don't turn out good I have 2 other reef tank to go with. I am going to get a red velvet wrasse and do the same thing as I will with the 2 dwarf angel. At least I have something to fall back on. I am just hoping these 3 fish with the fish in my 75 gal. can co-exist, we'll see.

I am going to get a coral beauty and a flame angel at the same time ... and I am going to get a red velvet wrasse
I have 2 Flames in with a Coral Beauty (10 angels total) without problems...but I really think my 3 Red Velvets are on the Top of my wrasse favorites...
short video...Tangs love the camera, but you will see a Red Velvet out in front a few times
