Lamarck angel.
Hello Everyone,

I am looking to keep a pair of these Lamarck angels. Have anyone here kept them before, please share your experiences. Do they nip alot? I ask because they are assumed to be a bit safer than dwarf angels and other larger angels.

Now I want to keep a pair, not just one of them. Does Lamarck angel change sex? or if they are a male, they will be a male forever? Is there any way to tell whether this particular angel is a male or female when they are young around 2.5-3 inches.

For those that have a pair of them, are they easy to pair up?
Can I just get one first and then add another one later on?

If you happen to have a picture of your Lamarck, please post them too.

Thanks alot.

Bao

They will change sex, and a male can revert back to female.
They can nip corals...may not at first, but that can also change.
Pair up? IMO a M and a F is a pair, but doesn't mean a 'mated' pair...not that it matters.
The pic. links are correct...the top stripe on the female, curves down to the bottom of the tail fin.

+1 absolutely! I have a 5yr old bellus that I bought as a F, changed to M...was 'intimidated by a large M Lamarck, and reverted back to F Bellus!!!! Only good thing, is now it may be '1 of a kind', because new F stripe pattern is different from 'normal' pattern.
