While performing my weekly tank clean up. I noticed my lawnmower with the left side of his head swollen. What could this be? Parasit, lymphocystis, bacterial?

Here are some pictures. What should I do?

Rocky has been living in this tank for almost two years.

Will perform a large water change this weekend. Hoping that would help.

I have spent many hours searching other threads to see if there is something similar that would help me ID the condition, but no luck :(

I'm leaning toward lymphocystis. . .

Could this be popeye?

I was just reading the Conscientious Marine Aquarist book. . .
"Popeye . . . . swelling behind or in the eye. . .If unilateral (only one eye involved), the cause may be mechanical injury, such as the fish bumping into something. . ."

it does look like popeye as it says it is only 1 side.

i would watch for signs of bacterial infection. ie fin rot cloudy eyes.

do the water change good water quality is essential for popeye to heal.
