Lanwmower Blenny

Are these fish a hit or miss when it comes to eating hair algae, i bought one and it doesn't even touch it, i know its hair algae and not bryopsis since my sea hare eats it, i am at a point that i need to get him out and get another one.....

You mean filamentous algae? i used to have a blenny that cleaned my rocks of hair algae a while back, i had to pass it along since it did not want to eat anything else, anyways thanks for the responses, i might just return it to the store since this one doesnt want to eat anything either.....
