Large angel for 150g?

Im thinking of keeping this tank a fish only tank. One fish i'd like to have is a large angel. Would a blue face angel be good? Can I mix large angels or is it best to just keep one?

I was thinking one of these or if if possible, a couple of these:

P. xanthometopon
P. annularis
P. navarchus

what do you guys think?

the passer angel is awesome and very hardy, but also very aggressive.

A 150 is on the smallish side for an adult Pomacanthus or Holacanthus, what is the tanks footprint? I keep a 180 and wont do another angel from these two genus, they just get too large and aggressive. The best fish of those you mentioned is the navarchus which stay smaller and are usually less aggressive than larger Pomacanthus. I keep one in my 180 and he is a great fish. These fish can top out at 11" but I have never seen one larger than 9" or so.

Blueface and annularis get large and so do all of the other fish in these two genus but there are a whole bunch of other "large" angels that top out at 10" or less that would do well in a 150. The regal, flagfin, griffis, goldflake, blueline, meridithi, cream, singapore, poma ect. If this was my tank and I could afford it I would do a goldflake, just a spectacular fish. Regals are also just beautiful but are touchy and will generally do well in a reef type system.

I believe its 6 feet by 18 front to back and close to 30 inches in height. Between those, I like the regal and flagfin. Would a chrysurus be a better choice for this tank? It's max size is 13". If not, I'll still the ones you mentioned

My favorite angel of all time was a flagfin, just an awesome fish but another that can be challenging to keep. I wouldn't do any Pomacanthus or Holacanthus except the majestic, all of the others all get too rowdy and big for a 150 IMO.

The up side with the smaller species is that you could probably do two smaller angels.

how about a red sea regal with a scribbled angel.... i think they would complement each other's colors very well

I'd go with the navarchus. Somewhat smaller, and usually not as aggressive as others, IME.

I'd go majestic or think hard about the blue line, both are spectacular and generally don't grow huge! If money is not an issue add the gold flake to that list. I like the flag fin as well, but it hard to call them large angels, they are beautiful though.

I think the only pomacanthus angel I'd consider are either asfur or majestic.

A 6' tank will let you keep many of the large angels, if not most, although some will be more comfortable in a bigger tank at full adult size. Big angels often have a slower, more casual stop and go swim pattern that, at least IMO, makes them more flexible in terms of tank size compared to perhaps smaller but more active fish like tangs. For example, I think an 8" blueline angel would be more comfortable in your 6'x18" footprint tank than say a 5" achilles tang.

Plenty of other angelfish than Holocanthus or Pomacanthus, as well for that tank.

I love the mellow temper of asfurs but they do get very large, too big for a 150 IMO. Scribbled's also get large and I have heard of aggression problems in smaller tanks. You will like the majestic if you choose this fish, mellow for a pomacanthus but still an angel and is always the fish visitors comment on, just a beautiful fish. Here is my current majestic and a few other angels I have kept.
