Large bow front reliability ?

I'm considering the purchase of a AGA 155 bow front aquarium from another reefer. Is it safe to assume that the longevity and reliability of a bow front aquarium would be the same as that of a "traditional" rectangular aquarium.

Any and all comments and experiences are welcome and appreciated.

My 54 bow has way thick glass: I'd feel more secure with it than with a standard 54 for that reason: it's 84 lbs empty, if that gives you any info on the relative thickness of what you're contemplating.

Sk8r is right, the glass is rather thick on these. I doubt it will crack, though I have heard that they have, in the past fixed now supposedly, had problems with the seals. I have a 155 bow front and I like it.

We have a 92g bowfront and as other reported, it's heavy and the glass is thick. Wouldn't trade it for the world!

i have a 72 bf that is now my sump but it had like little hairline cracks in the corners in the bottom and the bottom seal let loose on me which is how i got my upgrade to a larger tank :D i personally think that the seal letting go may have been the result of improperly stacked rock leaning against the glass maybe. just a theory but after fixing seam holding up fine as a sump

After reading tunaluver's post, I'll clarify that in our 92g bowfront, none of the rock is leaning against the glass, it's all stacked from the bottom up. I didn't do this with the seal in mind but from a cleaning/viewing standpoint as it's a corner tank.
