Large fighting conch

Once my tank gets more mature and is ready for a cleaning pack, I was thinking about adding a conch too for my 30g but wanted more info, I know they have a spur they can defend themselves with, and didnt know if i was looking for problems. Just want to get your info on them. I know the fighting conch is actually peaceful I read. maybe I have enough snails and he will be under fed? I could always feed him a vegi sheet. Just didn't want to buy it and make a mistake since I don't know much about them other than they are good live sand sifters and work all day.
