Large Fish Options?

So in my 180g FO tank I have a foxface around 7" I need to remove. He ended up killing 5 other fish due to fighting over caves? Before I restock I was trying to rehome him, I have tried to give him away for free, the LFS wouldnt take him either at that size. So what does everyone do when fish get to big? Just throw them in the sump by themself? My sump is a 120g, with a 60 gal center section with rocks.

thanks

Sump or maybe call the local aquarium/zoo/university to see if they’re interested. Could also post here in the classifieds/local club forums to see if anyone would be interested?

We had a Panther grouper (early 1990’s before we knew better) that outgrew his tank in our first apartment. Couldn’t upgrade the tank due to living in an apartment. We donated him to a local aquarium.

What about buying much more live rock? Give the fish many options. I mean really over do it. If its just over a cave add many more caves. Doesn't have to be live. Just buy dry rock. I kept cichlids and more hiding spaces is key. Unless a fish hates everyone. But you said it was just over caves. Thats a big tank. More hiding spots. Less fighting for them.
