Large Imperator compatibility

I have a 10" Imperator that was acquired with HLLE. I'm considering adding him to my 300g reef that has a mix of fish, mostly Tangs, NO ANGELS, all of which are at most half his size. He was in a FOWLR tank and was the dominant fish along with a large puffer, 2 large angels and triggors. He mostly just chased the other angels. I realize the dangers concerning my corals however I'd like your opinions regarding how aggressive the Imperator will be towards my other fish. thanks

He will be fine since he will be added last as far aggression. As for your corals I would be very wary as he will most likely munch away. Also if the angel has HLLE then there is a strong possibility there are some other underlying problems with the angel, i.e disease, parasites, etc.
So quarantining should be a must and be able to move the angel in case the tangs give him hell. Also depends on the tangs you have. If they are aggressive and similar in color there may be serious issues. T

I don't believe he has anything other than HLLE as he has been kept by another RCer in good health, came down with HLLE after copper treatment, the HLLE is arrested and I will try to keep him well nourished. My tangs are all half his size, yellow, purple, salfin, and blue. I was more worried about the Imperator being aggressive

HA HA i know who you got him from..LOL.. enjoy .... he will make a wonderful addition to your tank.. but if he dont work out for you and your tank/tank mates let me know and i will take him i will set up my 175g just for him

Oh i got side traked by the kidos but what worked for my huge sailfin tang who was a rescue with severe HLLE was time good foods, good water and more time more good foods and more good water... you can barly tell he had HLLE.. i feed him ocean nutrition red marine algae, green marine algae, brown marine algae, ocean nutrition flake foods formula 1, formula 2 and prime reef, fresh frozen table shrimp, frozen foods were ocean nutrition and haraki angel formulas, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp and ocean nutrition pelets (formula one and formula two

your welcome..its a long haul but worth it...i personally think the variety of foods was the key.. i had no particular order that i feed the foods in but i feed all the foods during the day..several feedings a day to the whole tank..and now everytime i look in the direction of the tank all the fish think i should feed them.. i am a heavy feeder .. not realy a heavy feeder at each feeding but the whole day total is heavy and my wife says my fish are obese fish that need to go on a diet
