Large male flame wrasse won't flash

I have T5 ATI PM lighting. Not sure if it's a coincendence, but as soon as my main light goes off and only the dusk/dawn light stays on, the male flame wrasse flashes much more frequently. My dusk/dawn light combination is fiji purple with an ATI blue plus. Maybe the cooler lighting puts the male flame wrasse in the mood. Sort of like dimming the light in your bedroom. :inlove:

how many females do you have?

so i treated my tank for flatworms this morning..

the male is totally yellow all over and looks incredible

so i guess he needs to be agitated to get the yellow on his body

hopefully another female will have the same effect

This is a pic I took of the she/male a couple of months ago while our livestock was in temporary housing. The Flames were in the middle of their courting dance. I've tried several times to get them both in the shot when they are doing this, but haven't had any success yet. You can see his head in this shot though, LOL. :lmao:
