Large(r) Angel in a Reef Tank

I am looking to add either a Scribbled or possibly a Regal Angel to my tank (240 gallon reef). I am lightly stocked with a current stock list of:

2 Tangs (Powder Brown and Yellow)
2 Diamond Gobies
1 Ocellaris Clown
2 Dwarf Angels Flame and Coral Beauty)
1 Rainfordi Goby
1 Royal Gramma

My concern is not really compatability, but how reef safe these two choices tend to be. Anyone have experirence with either of these two in a reef set-up?

Thanks!!!!

I agree that the Regal angel is the safer bet of the two, but I would put either in a reef tank. Just be aware that acans, open brains and the like may be fare game.

Any "Meaty" corals will be fair game to angels. Between the two I would say the regal is a safer bet.

My scribbled wanted to shred meaty corals at first now all he cares about is clams. (Spoiled) He picks but he does not do any damage like i would think he would. The regal wants to eat meaty corals and the eyes off chalices and rip into zoanthids.
The scribbled does not even look at zoa's and palys.

I'd think in that size tank, that both are equally viable. I'm just biased in favor of Regal since it is my dream goal (fish).
Both great fish, just get which one you like best.
& Avoid Meaty LPS corals like everyone said..

Thanks for all the input!!!

The tank has mostly SPS, i.e., Montiporas. There is one Pagoda Cup, a Favia, two clams, some mushrooms and zooanthids/Palys. I am hoping to add another Pagoda and Favia, maybe another LPS.

Of the two Angels, I am more interested in the Scribbled, but the Regal would be great as well.

At some point, all reef lover/angel lovers have to make a choice. What is my priority? Angels or reef? In my case it is angels. I have a frag tank setup. I add a coral, if the angels try to eat it, it goes to frag tank never to return. All large angels will eat some type of coral. IME they normally play nice with sps. LPS, clams, zoas, and shrooms are all likely targets.

If i added a clam with my scribbled it would be an expensive dinner for it. Are your clams worth keeping? If so then an angel would not be a good choice. JMO

Why not try a gold flake angelfish. It's georgious. I have mostly SPS with some zoas, acans. No nipping so far.
