Large reef tank in office building

wow.. yeah, just noticed the guy in scuba gear inside the tank, thats amazing.. any more pics of the livestock in the tanks so far?

Now imagine a cyano or hair algae outbreak in there ... !!!
Leave the headache to Bao. Or just boil the water. :crazy1:

It would be funny to see who jockeys for the best tank-viewing seats in the conference room.
I will try to book those conference rooms for my meeting. :) But I guess those rooms are not for engineers like me. :(

If you visited AG month ago and noticed those big tangs and anthias in QT, those fish have been move to these two big tanks. Plus some soft corals, feather duster, cleaning crew and several clams. It is still far from fully stocked IMO.

lbear, we anxiously await your booking a meeting for the, uh, multi-corporate hydraulic visualization conference. I expect you'll send me my meeting appointment using MS Outlook? ;)

No need to work there ... Just be a "vendor" and set up a salesmeeting with lbear, in the big conference room...

customers may be invited to those rooms. vendors just been tossed to those dark small rooms. :D
Is it starphire?
Don't think so. It's greenish when lights are out. Not sure it's glass or not.

I heard a figure of how much these tanks cost. Starts with a 5 and ends in (5) zero's.

I heard about something similar. Don't think monthly maintenance contract is included.

wait, is this a REEF tank or a FOWLR tank, which would be much easier. I'm ASSUMING that if there are corals, softies would probably be the easiest. I'd like to see a 30 lb colt coral waving around in there. ... ;)

There are soft corals in the tank which makes it qualifies as reef tank.

A little bit off topic.

A male cockatiel smash itself on the glass wall of the lobby on Monday. Myabe he wants to see the tank in close range. :D I just walked by. I pick him up and brought him home. I send him to vet for check up. Vet cleaned up his wounds and taking X-ray. I also asked the vet sending sample of dropping to lab. He seems recovering pretty well. Now I put him in front of my tiny little 90 gal tank :D

That's nice of you lbear. At the SF Zoo, they mentioned how a lot of the colorful birds from South America that people keep as pets can outlive their owners since they live for decades. I wonder how long a cockatiel can live.

BTW, there are some Chinese restaurants down the road at Ranch 99 who would be more than willing to take a pigeon off your hands if one of them ever smashes itself like the cockatiel.

Even seen that "Parrots of Telegraph Hill" (or whatever) movie?

Apparently there are at least 2 flocks of PARROTS living in San Francisco. The best guess it that some reased them OR they escaped about 10-15 years ago and their flock grows slowly. Sometimes (oddly) ANOTHER escaped parrot might join them. Like there is one that is totally a different colour.

You'd never think that tropical birds escape so often, but I guess they do. Luckily the species don't seem to be too invasive, and they seem to thrive in SF. Weird, eh?

I lived the Parrots of Telagraph Hill nightmare. Used to live at the end of Green right off Montgomery next to the tree where they nest. Was cool at first but those damn birds were loud as heck every morning.

Those are the famous ones, but it seems nearly every city has small flocks of parrots and such, from here down to LA :D
