Large rose BTA getting bubbles back since I got him normal?

I have a fairly large RBTA. Large enough that it's odd that he never split. When I first got him his tentacles were easily 3+ inches long with no bubbles. Now that I've had him for 2 weeks, his testicles are about 1/2 that size but I can see bubbles forming in them. I've fed him twice since having him. He's moved around a bit but keeps ending up in the same spot with decent light but very minimal flow. He's actually attached upside down under a flat rock and swings his body/disk out from under the rock. honestly I'd like for him to move because he's facing the back of the tank but oh well haha.

Anyways, is it a good thing that he's getting his bubbles back? My main worry is that his tentacles are a lot shorter than when I first got him. The LFS said they had him for exactly a week on the day I bought him.

LMAO, so yes we need to see a picture of this anemone :lol2:

no one knows why BTA have testicles in some tank and no testicles in others... I personally think higher light / closer to light source = bigger chance of large testicles..

either way.. it's normal.. may need to check your tank's hormone level

Yeah I get that no one knows why some have them and some dont. Mine are getting them back I believe. The tentacles are shrinking quite a bit and I've noticed bubbles in them now today.

I have several BTA in several tanks.. the same BTA would bubble in one and become flat in the other... then bubble in the original one again.. weird.. another tank has 5 BTA and only 1 bubbles. I wish I can make them all bubble, IMO they look much better that way

anyways, you have nothing to worry about, enjoy your BTA!

thats funny right there, I dont care who are........:lolspin:
Yeah no one really knows, however I have read many articles and alot of them point to lighting but who knows...

UNCsalt, I've also read many articles and even with the lighting debate why can several clones be under the same light in the same tank and yet some are bubbled and some are not.

idk either but i have a GBTA that bubbles up and a RBTA that does not bubble up. they are in the same spot so lighting is the same...

Lol, this is great.

Both of my BTA's (Green and Red) are sharing the same bright and moderate flow spot mid way up and are very bubbly. Only had them inside a couple of months so will be interested to see if either changes in this respect.
