Large shallow tanks?

Hi,

I'm thinking of putting in a frag tank in my garage and was wondering if anyone knows where to look for a tank that's 98"x36"x14"... kinda a shallow runway type thing. Prefer it be fiberglass or poly... it doesn't need to look nice like glass or acrylic, just utilitarian.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the reply... I've seen the one's at AES and I'm still looking for alternatives, they don't have one the size I'd like. They have 6 foot x 3 foot that's shallow... Ideally I want it 8 feet long so I can get the full benefit of a 6" light rail and save $$$ on lighting and power.

i would say build a ply wood tank. that would probibly be your cheepest and easyest DIY build.

if DIY is not an option you are probably going to have to get someone to make it for you at that size. The cheapest option I can think of is going to be welded acrylic or if you know someone in millworks you can get bulk glass fairly cheap.

What sort of a budget are you looking for??

hey PUG, have you looked at a hydroponics tub? I know a few stores that use the 8" fiberglass raceways, but not sure where they got them. If you were local to here, I know one selling one of them for 300 bucks. Could not ship it though without it costing a fortune. Maybe put two 4" tanks plumbed inline next to eachother. Might be cheaper as well and easier to find.
