Large tank dehumidifier yes or no

I have a 8 ft wide by 4 ft deep by 14" tall tank I think it's like 235 gallons, but after i get my sump I should be at about 300 gallons. My question is should I get a dehumidifier the tank is in my garage by the way.

I am not sure what possible purpose that would serve. Perhaps I misunderstand.

My guess is because of the large tank system and the large amount of evaporation associated the OP wants to avoid having mold, mildew, or rot issues because of the increased humidity.

I'm not sure if it is needed or not. I would think if the garage isn't climate controlled it shouldn't be an issue, but I'm no expert in the subject.

Room size plays a big part.

I have a 160 - 8'x3'x1' in a bedroom, and I need a dehumidifier to keep mold off of the windows and trim. But I keep the door closed about half the time.

Your garage may be big enough, but I would get one anyways to keep the moisture level down. Especially is your house is older.

The house is like 6 years old the reason I am asking is because I don't want mold growing anywhere. Anyone know any good humidifiers

Ah ok I see. If it is an older home and a garage, I doubt that garage is sealed well enough to keep the outside air out. So even it you did get a dehumidifier, I don't think it would make any meaningful difference. Not to mention those use the same amount of power as an A/C unit of similar size.

So the garage is all dry wall, I believe you live in northern California so maybe hot in the day and cool off at night, can you work in the garage in the summer or is it to hot? A room humidifier runs about 400 watts an hour.
