Large tank primer?

Hey all. Seems when I search for large tank threads I just come up with a bunch of awesome build threads. Are there any resources or threads that go into general concepts and considerations of keepin a large reef? For example there are certain sets of rules that definitely apply to keeping nanos, I'm sure large tanks must have some general concepts that must be followed to be successful.

So far it seems that the large tanks require extensive planning a healthy budget and remote area for a fish/maintenance room to make chores much more palatable, not that it is a necessity. I'm not looking to do anything in the near future, but sometimes I try and build my dream system in my head and looking to add in a lot of detail:D

If you guys could point me in the right direction or link up some threads so I can get my learn on that would be much appreciated! FWIW my dream tank is 7'x3'x2' open top. Maybe one day if I ever move to a house that will allow for it:cool:

Never seen an up to date reefing book. I'm not a beginner by any means, just though once you go over 250+ gallons it's a "different animal". I know concepts are similar, but execution and how you carry out those concepts may be different. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll look into it....

Just saw the video of his 450, loved it and awesome ideas for his fish room. That's the kind of stuff I was looking for. Thanks again!
