Largest known captive Tridacna clam ?

There is a wonderful gigas at SeaWorld San Antonio. It was donated by a MAAST member. It has to be well over two feet. They have a clam only tank (approx. 500 gallon) The gigas is their show clam. There are several other very large squamosas and maximas too!

Wow the waikiki has to be the most stunning aquarium in existance. Can someone clarify that the hippo tangs near that clam are 18" long?

Nah the Hippo tangs are about 9 inches and the clams are well over 3 feet long.

go to www.picturetrail.com
setup a free account.
load your picture into that site.
right click on your picture on your album page.
choose properties
highlight the address and copy it.
go back to reef central.
post a new reply.
add comments
click the IMG icon near the top of the new thread.
it will bring up window.
right click the text area of the window that says http//.
paste the address that you copied into that text area.
hit enter.
before submitting your post, preview your post and it should show the new thread with your picture in it.
after you do it a few times, it isnt that big of a pain.
