I'd love to see how this one does long term, it's a fish I'm always tempted by, but have major hesitations with.

Anybody get it?

I found out about larvatus from that dd post. NEW DREAM FISH!!! Did about an hour of research about their care. lol

P.S. And no I have no plans of attempting them in the near future as a newbie, just daydreaming... :)

I wonder what happened to the one that the guy trained to go into a container and eat. He seemed to have a pretty good understanding of the fish and might have had some longer-term success.

I thought his was 2 years old when he posted. Lots of work he puts in... I assume it's still doing well with that effort!

Another one came through yesterday. I was close to pulling the trigger, but i'm going to wait until my Christmas Vacation time.

Anybody?

Ha me too! I looked at it a bunch of times & finally someone made the decision for me. I wanted it, but not badly enough I guess. I was hoping you, Derek or Peter took a shot at it. From the research I've done, I think they might do better in pairs.

Once was enough for me. Not trying again :)

I hear you Peter - I hate losing fish & my wallet hates losing $$$,

I've read some of your old threads about your experience & I thought it was highly informative & insightful. The only thing tempting me - the only thing - was that Kevin had it conditioned for almost 30 days. Not that it's bulletproof, but having it eat is a good start.

I hope whoever did get it will post & share their experience too!
