Pros/experts/RC,
I'm a couple short days from introducing the fish back into the DT. What a long time!!!
However, I have a question: people state sometimes you can't see ich because it's in the gills. My fish have been in that observation qt for a month after ttm. One blenny died from presumably flukes, as it never showed external signs of ich- but it flashed like mad everyday.
The two tangs I have in the tank have not shown any signs of ich on their skin, we can rule out velvet as they've been alive since November (am I right about that?), nor have they flashed.
So I wonder: if ich is in the gills and doesn't appear on the skin, how will I know? These tangs haven't flashed at all. What if the blenny was flashing from ich? Will the ich on gills go thru the same cycle if ttm is performed again? I guess my question really is, if it's present in their gills shouldn't they be showing external signs by NOW?
