Always looking for the bright side, all this telework has allowed me tons of time with my tanks.

HOLY MOLY!!! Where do you trade your frags in at? I need some of those SPS colors in my tank.

Seriously though, tank looks fantastic! Happy New Year!

What kind of Frag tiles do you use? Any insights on what works best?

Sorry for the late reply. That grow out system was kind of a last minute cheaply thrown together thing to move frags to when I was having trouble with burn tips in my 265.

Its a used 48 " 65 gallon with crazing so bad on the acrilyc you cant see through it. Its tied into a 39 gallon sump shared with a 120.

I use 1 50" photon v2+ which presents colors and grows acros better that any of my ecotechs. My par is about 500 at the base of the corals.

No fish in that tank just snails and emerald crabs but fish in the 120. Note emeralds can sometimes damage the encrusting of the corals as they clean algae from around the base.

I test alk in that system daily and other params every 1 - 2 weeks. Alk 8.0, cal 465, no3 8 - 10, po4 .07 - .17.

I also dose tropic marin trace elements at 6 mil per day and feed a rotation of mysis. Larry's fish freenzy, larry's reef freenzy and half a sheet of nori per day.

Flow is a redsea reefwave 45 on 1 end and a cheap blackbox powerhead for cross flow at the other as the reefwave isnt really strong enough to move the snail poop at the opposite end.

The frag tiles are 3" oceans wonders sand based $10 from brs or same price from TCR.

The pictures are taken with a s9+ with a clip on orange filter and it seems to really bring out the purple coralline which grows very heavy in the 265. I do turn down one of my blue wavelengths in the leds just before lights out which allows the more purple hue to show through. Gives the best presented color IMO.

I do have a few frags well encrusted atm if anyone is interested let me know.

Thanks for sharing all the details about your setup, I'm definitely going to be copying some of that to help improve my tank.

Also I'm definitely interested in a frag or two. I'll send you a pm.

I run 8 hours of 1, 2, 4 @ 25% and 3, 5, 6 @ 100. 1 hour ramp up and down. At least I'm about 90% sure that is right.

I had to come back here and share this because I couldn't believe my eyes. The corals he is growing are just jaw dropping! Keep up the good work! (Pictures taken with my cellphone w/o filters, in daytime tank lighting)
