This guy has been n QT for 8 weeks now and it is time to move on up to the big house!! Wish him luck with the new inmates!

They should be one of the first angels introduced to an "angel dominated" tank. If there are bigger, bolder angels already inhabiting the tank, the Multi-barred will get intimidated and could refuse to eat. My previous tank was angel dominated and I tried to introduce a harem of multi-barred, however my larger established angels would harass and chase them when it was feeding time. They eventually wasted away in 6 months from not eating properly. Good luck with your fish, it looks very healthy.

Thanks for comments and valid points Jason.

The other Angels at this point are:

Regal, have had him for about 2 years now..

Blue Line. Actually the most timid.

A pair of C. Multicolor. These guys are great and spawn nightly.

The boss of the tank is this guy, but he only messes with the Lt Tang at times.

Anyhow, the multi barred will be introduced with an acclimation box and eats very well at this time. The only fish of concern is he Regal, he can be moody but they are all of similar size. I also have a pair of g. watanabei n QT and if they do well they may end up in the tank also.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful fish selection, and I agree with Gary; the Powder Blue could potentially be more of a bully than the other angels. You may have to switch up rock work, change territories, use the mirror method, etc until the Multi-barred angel settles in. Or wait and add it with other fish you intend on stocking in the tank. That could alleviate some of the aggression as there will be more targets to harass :)

best of luck...great looking fish!
love the BL...
have your multicolored spawned?

Thank You, and yes, they spawn every night about4 minutes prior to lights out.

you're not concerned about the Powder Blue?

I understand the concern and it is a valid one. That being said, the PBT was the second fish in the tank after the Lt. Tang, and to this point, over 2 years later, has never shown any aggression to the fish added since him (Regal, LNY B'Fly, Blue Line, the multicolors, a hawkfish) with the exception of an occasional tussel with the tang. Im prepared to move rock, seperate fish, move fish to other tanks, etc if need be, but the personality of this PBT seems to be passive with fish other than tangs.

That is a good suggestions on adding with other fish. I is something I will consider a few days. In no hurry to move him over, so will give it some thought.

What I like to do is print out several color pictures of the intended new addition and tape them to the outside of the glass (facing in, of course) for several days before introduction. The tank bullies will soon tire of harassing the "un-harrassable", and when the new fish is finally added, there is generally very little interest in it.

beautiful collection. How big is the display tank?

Thank you, 225g

Very interesting idea!!! I may give that a shot! Thanks!

You are fortunate with your pbt. Mine was small (less than 3") and only in the tank a month when I introduced my regal angel. The pbt went after the regal with the intent to kill. I put the regal in an acclimation box for a week and the pbt never gave the regal a second look again. I used the mirror approach to occupy the pbt.

I had 4 fish die from a power outage and need to introduce a couple more. I am not sure I can trust the pbt and expect to have to separate it rather than just relying on an acclimation box.

Be careful of the Blueline angel, I have heard they can be aggressive. Well, at least for THAT particular Genus of Angels.
