I just know lots of people are looking for latz and they are about as easy to get as a needle in a hay stack.

They are in the saddle complex.

From what I know about them they are only found off Lord Howe island...or inbetween there and Aus.

You can not collect fish from Lord Howe island and that is part of the reason why they are so hard to get ahold of.

This is partly true but another reason why they are not collected in huge numbers is because AUS collectors are only allowed so many fish per their collection licenses and they generally would not use up their quota on a fish that is a notoriously poor shipper. They would prefer to collect Wrasses, Angels, or other higher dollar fish.
There has been a large influx of these fish coming in this year so someone may have found an easier place to get them from closer to the mainland.
