Lawmower Blenny

Hi,

Local fish stores usually carry them. They don't eat long hair algae or turf algae. They just like to bang their heads against the rocks, must be eating some kind of film algae. At least that has been the experience with the ones I have had.

+ 1 ,,I have one from AT that is way cool all he does is peck at anything he can . mine wont eat flake food , likes pellets and any kind of shrimp .

Been there, done that on the hair algae. Don't know whether this will make sense but...if hair is in stands, light green in color, my tangs & hermits went to to town on that stuff. However, if it's a dark green beard-like algae, have fun. It took an improved RO unit with DI, TDS monitoring, & a seahare to win the battle for me. Good luck!

Try Jurassic Aquatics, in Richmond Hts. Richmond Rd and Chardon Rd. The owner is Fred from Heights pet world.
