lawnmower blennie not eating

Hi, so I have hair algae I want to get rid of and I bought a lawnmower Blennie from my reliable source and she raved that he ate anything she put in the tank and said she was running out of her hair algae cause he ate it all. I have him in my tank now and he's not eating. I checked all my levels and everything is great. Please help! I don't want to lose him.:sad2:

How long has it been in the tank? Sometimes it takes them a while to get comfortable enough to eat.

Besides not eating how is the fish acting?

What are the other tankmates? Anybody harrasing the fish?

I got him last weekend and I only have 2 true percula fish. He swims around and comes out so he's not hiding. Nothings harrassing him. But he does have his mouth open majority of the time which I read means he's in starvation mode.

Maybe introduce some hair algae to get him started. lol I would say just give it some time and introduce flake, pellet, frozen until he takes something. Good luck

Try soaking food with garlic. Mine loves anything that contains garlic or has been supplemented with it. Good luck.
