Who ever said Bamboo sharks just lay around all day......

:p :p :p

Just sharing the increased activity level since gradually stepping the temperature up, increasing water changes and increasing feeding size and frequency by about 50%. All in a slow, patient attempt to inspire some baby-makin'

Cool video and good luck with the breeding efforts. How big is the pond? Do you have a build thread?

Sweet Set Up!! Those sharks look very healthy and happy, congrats. Do you have a build thread somewhere? I would be curious as how this beauty came to be.

Thanks! The closest to a build thread is below, which I began in march of 2013. The pond/lagoon has been up and running for 5-6 years now. The current stock of Grey, white spotted and brown banded bamboo sharks, some of which I've raised since yearlings or younger, and have had for 3 years+. The rest I've had for atleast a year or two as well.

The pond is 12 feet by 12 feet in Outside Diameter. Those are 2"x6" s on the sides, on top. So without pulling out a really long tape measure, Id say that the Inside Diameter is One foot less on both sides. So close to 11 feet by 11 feet, give or take, of water volume. The depth can be brought up safely to about 30 inches, which I hardly ever raise it to, but I usually keep it somewhere between 18-24 inches. Now that the sharks are being this active Ive been dreading one jumping out. When they smack their tail down, they have created waves that soak an entire wall that surrounds the pond!!
A bit nerve wracking, thinking of how that same strength could most likely propel a 30inch shark flying out of the pond.
