Leak testing

i'm considering buying this tank from craigslist and the guy said he would leaf test it for me and i was wondering how to have it do it as the tank hasn't been filled in over a year he said?

Have him fill it up before you get there. Not on check for leaks but check the silicon where the Corners meet. If you see bubbles in between the Joints Run....

Make sure it's completely dry on the outside after filling up.

Tape paper towels along the seams. If you see any water... pass...

Our old 240 has a leak like that. Could never see it unless the paper towels were there.

As others mentioned, you need to check yourself. Yes you are going to sit around longer waiting for him to empty it out but it will be worth it. I have bought 2 acrylic tanks on Craigs (both were still running and filled with water) and have had no issues.

I'm looking at a hex tank so i take it all the same advice applies to them as well
