Leaking Overflow Box

I recently drilled a 75 gallon tank. Upon running a leak test for the overflow box I noticed that there was a leak. The strange thing about the leak is that it starts before water reaches the weir. It appears that the water goes up behind the overflow box on the inside and starts leaking water into the bulkhead. Also notice the leak is inside the overflow box. There was no leaking on the outside of the tank.
Just looking for feedback for safety tips and how to fix the problem.
Thanks

The bulkhead is partially sitting inside the overflow box.

I can't tell where the gasket is placed. On my synergy overflow it is supposed to be between the overflow box and the tank. Like this

Not sure if it's the same for your overflow box. But might be worth a try. Good luck!

Thanks, that's exactly where I have two gaskets as well. This is Marine Depot Elite overflow box

The bulkhead gasket should be inside the tank and should only be tightened hand tight. I like to smooth petroleum jelly (Vaseline) over the gasket before installation and make sure the inside of the tank around the bulkhead hole is very clean. Said from dirty glass, over-tightening the bulkhead is the most common reason for a bulkhead to leak.

this was actually wrong. There were only two gaskets. One inside the black box and the other on the outside glass. There was no gasket behind the black box on the inside of the tank. Luckily I had an extra bulkhead. I used its gasket to put where it's supposed to be on the tank. Doing another leak test now.

Problem solved. The third gasket sealed the leak. Anyone considering the Marine Depot Elite overflow box, it requires an extra (third) gasket. This had been previously discussed on other forums too so its not the first time.
