Hi PA!!
I purchased a JS1 from you guys on 12/15. (was a xmas gift from my wife) even though I ordered and paid for it. I mounted it on the wall shortly after xmas and left it disconnected, My system was not ready for it, kalk was doing just fine.
Well on this past Saturday I finally filled the reactor with media (that I got from you on separate order) plugged in the Eheim and fired it up. well to my surprise, unfortunately it has a very slow drip coming from the small acrylic block where the red and blue lines connect on the bottom.
I was horrified, so I drained the reactor, removed the media and chamber, took out the pump. and unmounted the board. I visually inspected the area where the drip is, it has no cracks or marks of any kind.
So I decided to lay down a bead of PVC glue in an attempt to seal up this drip.
I reassembled everything, mounted it back to the wall. connected all my lines, fired it and of course the drip was still there, forcing its way through my new bead of cured cement. So I rinsed and repeated the whole tear down/reassemble thing and still no luck.
By this time the area I was trying to seal up was starting to looking like a PVC glue war zone. I was sick to think my 2 hands made this mess trying to fix it, but I also thought I was on my own in trying to get it to stop leaking since the amount of time that has passed since purchase.
Is there anything that PA can or will do for my situation. first I am looking for a replacement at no cost, if this ain't goona fly cuz of the elapsed time etc, I will fully understand and not be tick'd. I guess that's what I get for not putting it into full operation when I got it.
Next please tell me the part I need is in stock or at least I can get it? and of course how much? and how long. Here is a pic of where it is leaking from (note this pic is not my unit, it is just for reference as to show where the leak is.
TIA,
1SR
