Leaking Schuran Jetstream 1

This is just a reminder for Jeremy when he looks at this tomorrow.

I know I want the PH probe holder and I am pretty sure several other want it al well. I want to make sure this is included with my replacement part.

Has schuran been called? Is the order "placed" if so what was there answer? how much is my part? how much is shipping? how long will it take to get?
 
Hi Guys,

I have sent an email, a couple weeks ago with pictures and specifics, however I have not heard back. I am sending another one again this afternoon, along with a PO of the items.

I will post back with details from them as soon as I hear something.

Hi Everyone,

I received an email back from Schuran this morning. Replacement costs of all three pieces are at 75 euro our cost, so right at about $100/ea our cost. I will not mark the products up at all, and of course this can vary a little either way depending on exchg. rate at the time. There will also be the cost of the air shipment, which I will not know until it comes in.

WOW. talk about expensive. that's 25% of the complete reactor, just for 1 small part. No knock on PA at all Jeremy, I understand what you have gone through just to get to this point, but IMO Schuran has basically told me they don't give a rat's behind about their customers across the pond, and I will never buy another product from them. I hope this thread gets about 20000 more views......
Will you call us when they are in, shall I prepay? I need it, so just let me know.

Jeremy, I sold my reactor to wbeavers, it is in his hands now. Any info concerning this situation can be directed to him.

I bought another reactor from a company that supports their products and one you can actually get a replacement part for.

I completely agree 100%. I had a feeling it would be expensive, and my jaw dropped when I read the email this morning.

As I have mentioned in other threads I highly recommend Geo calcium reactors. You get just as good quality, if not better, at a much cheaper price with better support.

No need to prepay on any of these parts. Once they are in stock I will update this thread.

Yup I bought a GEO 6x18 and GEO kalk rx. Cant beat em! I would have gotten them from PA but this situation has left a bad taste in my mouth for both companies. Why do you think I got rid of the Schuran? not because it leaked (I fixed that the first day) not because it did'nt perform well..... I sold it because of customer support on both sides of the "pond"

You better make sure ppl still want them at that price before you order anything.

You guys going to drop the line? this make PA look bad. You guys got caught right in the middle of this in my book.

I agree, we did. Unfortunately our hands are tied on some things, and this is one of those situations. I'm sorry it left a bad taste in your mouth with us.
 
$100 for some plumbing! Absolutely ridiculous!! How can my small section of plumbing be the same price as that guys reaction chamber. Something is wrong here. Even if it is the whole assembly it is nothing more than a union, a pair of PVC elbows, a small section of PVC pipe and a very small machined acrylic plate. $100 for this is like sticking a gun in my face. This should be warranty, not robbery! I think I would like a quote for the part being moved by surface transport; if it can't be done under warranty as it should.

I sent multiple emails to Schuran, with three links to the exact pictures of the items that needed to be replaced, two of which are the items, yours being the different one. I finally received a one sentence response today stating that the items I need are 75 - euro. As I mentioned, I agree that it is ridiculous, unfortunately there is nothing I can do with what they are charging. I will send a followup email stating that yours is for warranty replacement. I will stay on them with email if I do not hear back right away. I was actually trying to find the original purchase date in our system, but could not find it. Can you email me directly the invoice number or the purchase date of it? jeremy@premiumaquatics.com

I got my warranty repair part from 1SickReefer today. It was sent to him directly by Schuran. At least they did the warranty replacement.
