We'll I try to do an experiment with my maroon clown (jaws)
He's been with me for 9 years on my old fowlr tank,so I decide to move him into my reef to let him host my sebae anemone...

2 days later!

So my wife felt in love with 1 1/2 year old maroon.
Well I don't have a fowlr tank anymore so he's going to meet Jaws. Omg!
Not even 10 min later the little maroon started to host the same anemone!
Without any fight...

So my wife when to my lfs and she bought a 6 months old platinum and this is what happens after 15min in!

They been together for 3 months !

In the wild you can see Maroon clowns co-existing with juvenile tomato clowns in same anemone. However, once everyone gets older someone gets kicked out.
Hope for the best but I don't think this will last too long.

Check out this video below at a 2 minute mark. You can see Clarkii and skunk clowns in the same anemone. I've seen this happen in other videos a few times. But how and how long they co-exist I don't know.

Is ok if one of them gets kicked out,on the other side of the tank I have 5 huge rbta's I just didn't want them to kill each other.

Odd that the maroons would opt for the crispa with 5 BTAs on the other side of the tank. BTAs are maroons only natural host. Nothing is certain with clownfish, I suppose.

We'll the bta's came after he start hosting the sebae,we haven't seen them swim since they start hosting.they come out to eat and that's pretty much it.i believe they haven't seen them yet.. :fish1:

ah, that explains it. The maroons will find the BTAs at some point I expect. Supposedly they can "smell" their natural hosts.
