Well i an deciding on angels i want.
I have a regal, majestic, coral beauty, elibi now all healthy and fat.
I dont want to stir the pot too much and want another angel.
I love scribbled and goldflakes. I would love to ad a pair of each, But one would do. I have heard of scribbled being very mean. Is this true?
I could get the scribbled pair ordered in for me at the lfs which i like the sound of better because i could see them in person, and get a great price on them as well. The goldflakes i would have to order online.

i have heard scribbled angels get more agressive as they age..that being said my scribbled angel never bothered anybody infact she was very mild mannared and tame, she was in with multiple drawfs, an asfur, tangs and a moorish idol,

This is another "I've heard," but I've read/heard that Scribbled's are really only 'hard' on new additions, and that only pertains to larger Scribs. If the Scribs will be the last fish in, I believe they should fit in fine....

The goldflake would definitely be more peaceful. If you go with a GF it MUST be quarantined thoroughly!! That should go for all fish anyways though ;)

The scribbled would be the boss of the tank for sure, but I see no problems with adding a scrib either if you like those because you are adding it last and the more delicate fish are already established. I almost say go with the scribbled because they have a better track record, but if looking only at peaceful go goldflake.

Thanks, Mainly I didnt want the regal to get beat up. I think the majestic can fend for himself, as for the elibi and coral beauty they will get thru it. :)
I think a pair of scribbled would fit nicely. I'll start with a small female and then look for a show sized male.

What about adding another regal? I've got a blue belly and a yellow belly in my system and they get along just fine. I have also seen trios of them in tanks.

I currently have a 6" Male Scribbled Angel and I can attest that they can get aggressive. Mine gets fiesty around dinner time and will chase some of the smaller angels and butterflies in my tank. He is by far the boss of the tank. He also has one of the best personalities of the fish I keep and will eat out of my hand. He was never hard on any of the angels I added after him, albeit they were all smaller than him. If you do a pair, you have to get them as a true pair that were caught either together or within the same territory. Some of the Aussie divers/wholesalers can get you true pairs of Scribbles and False Personifers. If you add the male first and then try to pair it with a female later it won't work. I would go with a small (3") Goldflake, they are still pretty docile at that size and never really become all that aggressive.

Not that you mentioned this one, but I have an Imperator in my tank, full size, that does just fine, although the only other angels I have are the 2 regals as of right now. He is definitely the brute of the tank (at least for now) and his grunting is pretty cool to hear when he gets irritated.

I had a show sized EMP at one time and he would not let any angel in the tank, and ate all my corals even SPS. I love emps but when they get huge they become feeding monsters. The majestic may get like that once large but he is 2.5 to 3 inches and have a little time, But i am hoping he wont though. My old emp.

Knock on wood, guess I'm lucky! Mine doesn't touch anything except for LPS, which I don't keep anyway, except by accident (when there's something growing on something else). I wish it would eat zoanthids... or that anything I have would... I've got a tiny colony of them that no one will eat (accidentally introduced on rock that was in the dark for almost a year). Mine is 8-10".

Oh there was nothing he would not eat. He ate my nems, rics, yuma's,lps, aiptasia (Bonus on that one) xenia, hammers, There was not anything he would not eat.
I have a pic of him just after pigging out on my corals. LOL

Thanks, I went with a scribbled angel. Its just over 5 inches and i believe in transition to male. He will be in QT for 6 weeks or so. Next will probably be a false personifer.
I'll add the goldflake last.

I love my Majestic. I wanted a goldflake and had a chance to pick one up locally for a bill but passed because I didn't want to give up my monster maximas

Well i might just go all sps and angels. Whatever they leave alone as well.
Seems i can keep my rics and yuma's for now anyways. I am not holding my breath.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Seems like scribble's are a little more tough to come by as well.
I have seen false personifers regularly.
Goldflakes are hard to come by too, But since i feel more comfortable adding him last i'll just wait.
