Leather and SPS update

It's only been a week since I removed my fairly large green toadstool in my 60 gallon. I wanted to see if it was inhibiting the growth of my mostly sps in the tank, specifically acros. I can attest that I already see a difference. Polyps are extending more and colors have gotten a little deeper already. I wish I would have taken it out earlier.

I would like to hear more about this. I have had a very large green Sinularia (some say its a nepthia) in my tank for the last 12yrs, and I also have a decent size toadstool, in my SPS tank. things grow well, but I have never been without those 2 corals. (they were my first 2 corals ever)

I few a few question
1. Do you run carbon in your tank?
2. How close to the sps was the toadstool
3. was it blocking light

I do run carbon, but I think it exhausts after 2-3 weeks, and i change about every 6 because it is in a dual media set up with GFO. The Leather was next to a few sps and it wasn't blocking any light.

No Problems!

Not all leathers have the same amount of chemical warfare going on. My leather was larger than a softball in a 60 gallon, so that has something to do with it too.
