does anyone know if a leather coral is effected by nitrate levels. I have one in my tank and the pollups around the outside of the coral are not out just checked and my nitrates were high hoping thats whats going on
Also how is your ALK? My softies react to PH/ALK more than anything else. Or a fish bugging them= clown trying to nest or a Hawkfish that perches on it constantly.
If you have any sensitive fish that are not effected by the nitrates- then I doubt it is affecting your leather coral. Again - other water parameters like Ca+, Alk, and PH are usually the ones affecting corals. Ca+ = not so much on the softies.
