I stressed over mines too. Was doing great when I got it home. Opened fully for about 1 month. Then all of a suddened it didn't open one day. Next day, slump to the side, day after that, couple of polyps popping out. Now, the fifth day, all polyps back out, but still the crown is not as fully inflated as normal. So like everyone else say, it's normal - I guess.
All my other softies looked okay (zoas/nem/palys) good - although my colt/finger leather displayed the same symptoms the same time as the toadstool and is recovering the same too. I was worried I dropped in a polyfilter pad to make sure any toxin is absorbed.
