Okay here is my deal I have had a leather fingure coral for the last four years When I got him he was about the size of a adult male fist. well when i moved from my apartment to my house two years ago i upgraded to a 75gal from a 36 gal. I'm using the 36 as a sump. I know you guys always ask for the paremters which are all in check well atleast the top five are salinity is 1.025 (Local pet shop checked others). Well the problem I am having is my LFC grew about half is size in about a year and a half. well about six months ago it split and ever since it has split it hasnt been doing so good IMO hes shrunk to the size of maybe a ten year old fist he hasnt opened four probably the last two months he always look like one at night (when its all closed up) it still has its color it still reacts to touch (closing tighter) is this colral dying? Or is this some kinda cycle they go through. as for the frag that split from it I cant find it anywhere in te tank. As for occupants all I have is 1 Coral Bueaty 1 Clown 1 damsel about 80 Lbs LR in dispaly probably about another 30-40 in sump and a clean up crew of about 70 in total number (snails, crabs) What can be going on oh by the way Im running the Coral life PC 260 watts W/ moon LED's
